Upcoming Honeywood Events

Celebrating 25 years as a Heritage Site

Old sign

Honeywood opened to the public in 2001 and thus began the restoration project of the grounds, buildings & fields of Honeywood Nursery. In order to protect & preserve the heritage of Honeywood Nursery, it was designated a Municipal Heritage Site in the early spring of 2001 and the name became: Honeywood (Dr. A. J. Porter) Heritage Nursery.Honeywood logo

A lot of labor & love by workers, volunteers & donors went into the many years it took to create what is now an amazing heritage site.

The nursery would not be what it is today without the constant support of the people and communities throughout Saskatchewan!!

  1. Your website is great however I’m trying to locate on the map where the farm is located& the only map I seem to find is a mAp of the property. Hope we can find you tomorrow

    1. Hi, if you look on the map page there are two maps. One shows the map of the property and the other shows the location of the property. In fact, on both maps you can zoom out on the map to see the surrounding area. Hope that helps. To get to the Nursery go 6.9km (4 miles) directly south of Parkside from Highway 40 and turn west for 1.66km (1 mile).

  2. Hi!
I was given your web site by a friend.
Do you have a price list and a list of the lilles that you have. I would be interested in taking a look.

    Thank You
    Judith

    1. Hello Judith
Yes we do have a list of lilies that are available to order for mailing out in Sept of this year. If you would like a list please send a request to our email address:
honeywoodn8@gmail.com and we will be happy to send you the list.

  3. Could you please share some photos of the inside of the log cabin. And, can you also clarify if you serve food or if visitors must bring their own drinks and food? Thanks

    1. Hello Karen, We do not have food for sale other than at our events. You are more than welcome to bring a picnic lunch to have outside on the picnic tables or inside the house.
Will check for pictures of the inside of the house & email if we have anything.

  4. I am interested in purchasing pink & white martagon lillies for this fall. Will you have any available? Also, are you open to the public this summer to view the lillies? Thank you!

    1. We are hoping to receive some new martagon lilies in August but do not know the colors or varieties as yet.

  7. Hi. I am wondering when you expect lilies to be blooming, saskatoon berries and raspberries ready for picking by the public. I realize it depends on the year but we happened to be there when this was all happening at the same time. We wish to bring friends with us so they can experience this. Thank you.

  8. HI,
I was one of a group from Bethany Manor to visit on July 23rd. The tour guide mentioned a rare tree which she tried to propagate. She mentioned that her little shoots did okay for a few days but then died. What was the name of that special tree?
We all agreed that it was a very special outing for us. beautiful weather, blue sky
Wonderful to be out in nature.
